Community is not the same as Marketing.

Not when done right. They overlap significantly, but community requires listening, cultivating connections, and building trust.

TL;DR, social media can give you a platform with global reach. While there's no guarantee of virality, and with the fluctuating and enshittification of so many established platforms, what matters most is focusing on authenticity, and lowest possible effort for the best return on investment.
